SERVICE WELFARE
The Armed Forces recognise the importance of supporting their service personnel and their families in peacetime and war by helping prevent or reduce the effects of personal difficulties, especially those that arise as a result of service life.
The general level of welfare support given by the Armed Forces differs between locations. In Great Britain, families are expected to make use of the many facilities open to the civilian community for the likes of doctors/dentists, schools and social services. Overseas, the Armed Forces will provide many of these facilities in most locations.
