INSURANCE REVIEW

Quite often Service personnel forget to inform their insurance company that there has been a change in their insurance details especially when they leave the Armed Forces or move away from Service risk associated employment. Re-assessment may result in a reduction in premiums. Any major change in circumstances that is likely to affect any form of insurance should be discussed with the insurance company as soon as it occurs (especially when the Service person is no longer flying military aircraft/helicopters, carrying out bomb disposal etc).

There are no set time limits with insurance companies as to when they can be notified of any major change in circumstances as all insurance companies deal with cases on a 'case by case' basis, but notifying the insurance company a couple of years after the change in circumstances may well be too late.

A company that specialises in re-assessments for military personnel is LifeSearch.
