Garrison Radio has opened phone, text and email centres that will allow families and friends to pass on messages to soldiers in the Middle East. The two-way service will allow soldiers to send messages back to the UK to the Garrison Radio network and onwards to other radio stations. The service is unique as it will allow anybody 24 hour access in either direction, with Garrison Radio acting as a hub for radio stations at home and abroad, in addition to its established practice of request gathering in Britain's four biggest garrisons where it broadcasts. The radio station will also personally deliver any emails to households in its broadcast garrisons if a family does not have email access. Garrison Radio has also launched a dedicated Gulf page with a message board which can be used by soldiers as internet access grows across the Gulf and by family and friends at home at www.garrisonradio.com.
