UFO HQ Flies to RAF Command

Thursday, January 08, 2009

The new HQ for British alien investigators has moved to the Royal Air Force.

Since the beginning of January all UFO sightings have been dealt with at RAF High Wycombe, a move welcomed by extra-terrestrial experts who described it as “significant”.

The base has replaced the former home of UFO researchers, the Ministry of Defence in London.

Nick Pope who spent three years at the MoD as official UFO investigator said he thought the change of location would mean more investigations were launched into sightings and each would be handled with more thoroughness.

He said: “The RAF will ensure sightings are investigated properly and should pay particular attention to sightings from pilots and cases where UFOs are tracked on radar.”

Sightings

The Ministry of Defence insisted there was no change to policy.

A spokesman for the MoD said: “The MoD examines UFO reports solely to establish whether UK airspace may have been compromised by hostile or unauthorised military activity.

“Unless there is evidence of a potential threat, there is no attempt to identify the nature of each sighting reported.

“UFO matters will continue to be dealt with by MoD civil servants, the only change being that they will now work out of RAF High Wycombe instead of MoD Main Building in London.

“This move is the result of an internal re-organisation within the Ministry of Defence and there will be no alteration to our existing policy relating to UFOs.”
