ANDY Murray is backing The Sun’s Help For Heroes campaign – by donating a winning racket for auction.
The Scot acted after messages of support for him came from British troops in both Iraq and Afghanistan.
The racket is the one the 21-year-old used to beat Belgium’s Xavier Malisse in the second round of Wimbledon.
We will offer the Head Microgel Radical Pro racket, which retails at about £170, on the internet eBay site – with the cash raised going straight to the charity.
Andy said: “Those injured in conflict deserve the best rehabilitation facilities possible.”
Help For Heroes has topped £7million in just eight months – thanks to kind-hearted Sun readers.
