Friday, February 03, 2012

British troops have seen their last intake of Afghan Warriors graduate from the Regional Basic Warrior Training Centre in Camp Shorabak.

The parade marks the end of the British commitment, as of next month it will be handed over to the Danish military.

Over the last eight weeks 1400 Afghans have been taught the basics of soldiering in order to prepare them to be at the forefront of the transition to Afghan led security.

Since May last year the British have taken the lead in transforming them into warriors ready for the frontline.
