OFF TO A FLYING START WITH AUDITEL…

One of Auditel’s latest franchisees is Squadron Leader Terry Chant, 43, who served with the Royal Air Force for 26 years. Terry recalls he was lucky to have eighteen months to prepare for his retirement to look for an opportunity where he could utilise past skills, work for himself but also have some connection and support with others. His research led him to the concept of franchising.

Terry was especially attracted to working from home having travelled so much previously. “We are now living in East Sussex, our 17th home in 26 years, and I did want to work from home and spend more time with my family. My quality of life (and that of my family) has improved tremendously. I now walk 10 metres to my office and I can decide the hours I work. I can collect my daughter from after- school clubs or take her to the dentist, rather than my wife having to do it all the time!”

When asked why he chose Auditel, Terry explains: “The Auditel team were very professional and honest. Right from the very start they pointed out the pitfalls of the business as well as the benefits. Regular meetings with head office and colleagues to share information – and have a beer – means there is on-going social activity and plenty of humour, all areas I could relate directly to life in the RAF and wished to retain.”

Terry started in May 2002 after his residential induction course and follow-up workshop including, a one-to-one meeting with the Client Acquisition Manager to appraise progress and targets. He is very happy with the continuing support from Auditel. ‘They have always responded to my questions promptly, are constantly looking to improve the system and support and remain market leaders.’

With another affiliate, we quickly saved them 40% on their electricity and 24% on their telecoms. We also found £4,000 of overcharges that is being refunded. I am also working for several large charities and have found savings of between 35-40% in their utility bills. That means more money going to good purposes - and a useful addition to the family income!”
